Breeding / Kidding Schedule

Purchasing Kids:

The prices quoted on the web-page are for domestic (within the United States), pre-ordered kids only that are picked up or shipped by the time they are 6-8 weeks of age. We offer a multiple purchase discount on orders of 2 or more kids. International sales are considered on a per case basis only and additional cost will apply due to the extra time and work involved. Reservations are made on a first come, first serve basis. When reserving a kid, please be sure to include both a first and second choice with your reservation. We require a $100 deposit to reserve your kid. Payment must be received in full no later than 10 days prior to the arranged shipping date or the kid may be sold to another buyer. If your choice of kid is not available you can hold it over to the next year or transfer it to another available kid. Kids that are born that have not been reserved will first be offered to buyers with reservations that were not filled. We reserve the right to give preference to buyers that participate in ADGA performance programs. For any buck kid purchased from Bedda Farms we reserve the right to purchase up to 20 straws of semen at cost and we also ask that you do not market semen from Bedda Farms purchased bucks until their offspring are able to be evaluated in milk.

Purchasing Milkers or Mature Bucks:

Mature animals are sold on a case-by-case basis.  We sell both show quality and dairy replacement animals. Transport arrangements and payment must be made within 3 weeks of agreed purchase of mature animals unless otherwise arranged. Milking does that are not picked up within 3 weeks may incur a boarding fee, as may dry milkers and bucks and buyer will be responsible for any additional charges, such as veterinary visits or medications. Mature animals may be sold with a right of purchase of offspring or semen. Preference will be given to buyer that utilize ADGA performance programs, DHIR and Linear Appraisal.

By making a reservation you accept and agree to our Terms of Sale in its entirety.

Deposit:

We require a $100 deposit to reserve your kid, with the balance due upon notification of your kid’s birth. Please contact us prior to sending deposit, to ensure that your desired reservation is available. Deposits on cancelled reservations are non-refundable. However, deposits on kids that are not born may be shifted to another available kid, rolled over to the next year, or refunded.  Rolled over reservations will maintain priority over new reservations. Payment plans can be worked out on an individual basis 

Limitations: 

We will limit kid reservations to 2 bucks and 2 does on our mature does and 1 doe on first fresheners.  Sorry, we do not take buck reservations on first fresheners.  We believe that a doe must prove herself before a buck should be retained.  Buck kids from exceptional first fresheners may be offered after evaluation of dam.  If you are interested in a buck from a first freshener, message us and we will put you on a wait list and if the buck becomes available, we will contact you. 

Herd Health: 

Our herd is routinely tested for CAE, CL and Johnes.  We have also begun to DNA test and will make those results available. We are happy to facilitate any requested testing of purchased animals at buyer’s expense.  

Getting Your Kid:

We request that all kids be picked up at the farm or shipped by 6-8 weeks of age. We are happy to help coordinate air and/or ground transport of your new kids.  All shipping costs, including required health certificates and crates shall be paid by the buyer prior to shipment.  After 8 weeks of age, we will charge $2.00/day boarding on kids not picked up, unless prior arrangements have been made.  

​International Sales: 

We are happy to work with potential buyers worldwide, however pricing listed on Breeding List are for US domestic sales only. Pricing for export sales will be individually negotiated and all transport, export and testing costs will be paid by buyer. 

We reserve the right to refuse sale of any kid or retain kids needed for our own herd and refund deposit or shift to a non-reserved kid (buyers’ option).
